First Church offers a broad curriculum of educational opportunities and care for preschoolers to meet your child’s needs and busy schedules. 

CHILDREN'S WORLD

Children’s World is a Christian program that provides quality, developmentally appropriate childcare for children ages 2 1/2 through 5th Grade. After-school and summer care for Kindergarten through 5th grade is also available. Our program facilitates and nurtures every child’s spiritual, emotional, social, cognitive, and physical needs.

Children’s World is a year-round program operating from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

Tuition:
  • Tiny Tigger Class | 2 1/2 – 3 years old | $185 per week
  • Bouncy Bunny Class | 3 – 4 years old | $180 per week
  • Pink Panther Class | 4 – 5 years old | $175 per week
  • After School | K – 5th grade | $65 per week
  • Summer School Program | K – 5th grade | $155 per week | $31 full day
  • Registration fee: $75
  • Supply Fee $150 ($75 due in Sept/$75 due in Feb)

Enrollment is based on a priority basis:
  • First United Methodist Church Members.
  • Siblings of children already in the program.
  • Children and grandchildren of employees.
  • Children with no connection to the church or program.

A parent/guardian must fill out an information form about their child’s health, medical history, and emergency contact information.

CREATIVE SCHOOL

Creative School is a non-profit, licensed preschool for children three and four years of age. Our three-year-old class aims to learn to play with peers and to like school. Our four-year-olds prepare for kindergarten. We strive to teach Christian values in our classes.

The Creative School program runs from September through May. There are three and four-year-old classes on Tuesday & Thursday and Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. Our hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or extended stay until 2:00 p.m. daily. 

Daily Schedule

Our program is individualized according to the needs and abilities of the children. We have free play, circle time, crafts, music, outside play, and snacks, all geared for learning.

Enrollment

Enrollment for the school year begins in April. Children must be three or four years of age by August 1st to attend Springdale public schools. To be placed on the list, call the director, Tressa Mayo, at 479-751-3421.

Communication

Parents are always welcome to visit. We have a Parent’s Meeting before school starts in the fall. Notes are sent home regularly to let parents know of upcoming events. 

Special Days

Creative School celebrates several holidays with a party. Additionally, we have a Christmas program and an end-of-the-year program.

FIRST KIDS

First Kids is a non-profit, licensed Mother’s Day Out Program for children ages 3 months to 3 years. We provide a Christian-based curriculum and a loving environment to nurture your child’s faith.

First Kids fall/spring program is open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. starting the Tuesday after Labor Day and ending the Friday before Memorial Day. Parents can choose all three days or just one day. First Kids follows the Springdale Public School calendar. 

Enrollment

Enrollment for the summer and school year program begins in March for the upcoming summer and school year. First Kids also has open enrollment while the program is in progress. Contact Tressa Mayo at 751-3421.

Communication

First Kids publishes a monthly newsletter informing parents about upcoming events, themes, and special activities. We also send home a daily report on each child. Parents are always welcome to visit. 

Special Days

First Kids has a fall, Christmas, and Valentine’s party. We ask parents to help provide the treats for the parties.
