The Bread of Life (BOL) was started in 1992 by a group of volunteers who wanted to be in service to others as an expression of their faith. This outreach assists people through acts of compassion while helping people to care for themselves and their families. BOL offers food to the community of Northwest Arkansas as well as USDA Commodities for those living in Washington County and limited emergency financial assistance. We are able to assist with food each month and financial assistance one time every three years, up to a maximum amount of $350 as your circumstances require and as our resources allow. To qualify for financial assistance, you must:
- live in Springdale
- have a notice of eviction or a disconnect notice for utilities
We are not able to assist with hotel costs. If you qualify or have questions, please bring your documents in during BOL operating hours to visit with a member of our team.
During our hours of operation, there are several ways to volunteer: check-in, reception, counseling, or serving in the warehouse. If you have questions about how to get involved or would like to volunteer, contact Pastor Josh.
