Local Mission and Outreach

At First Church, we believe in being the hands and feet of Christ, reaching out with love and support to our neighbors in need. Our local mission and outreach programs are designed to provide practical assistance, build relationships, and share God’s love with our community. We invite you to learn more about our programs and consider joining us in making a difference.

Bread of Life Food Pantry
Our Bread of Life Food Pantry provides essential groceries and supplies to individuals and families facing food insecurity. We strive to ensure no one in our community goes hungry. The pantry is open [insert hours/days], and all are welcome to receive the needed support. Volunteers are always needed to help distribute food, organize donations, and provide a listening ear to those we serve.

Daily Bread Community Meal
The Daily Bread Community Meal offers a warm, nutritious meal to anyone who needs it. More than just a meal, this is an opportunity for fellowship and connection, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. We welcome volunteers to help with cooking, serving, and conversing with our guests.

His Helping Hands Clothing Closet
His Helping Hands Clothing Closet provides gently used clothing and shoes for all ages, ensuring our neighbors can access the basics they need to thrive. Donations of new or gently used items are always appreciated, and volunteers are needed to sort donations and assist visitors in finding what they need.

Stephen Ministry
Our Stephen Ministry offers confidential, one-on-one care and support to members of our congregation who are experiencing a challenging time, such as grief, divorce, illness, or other life difficulties. Our trained Stephen Ministers are here to provide compassionate care, a listening ear, and spiritual support. Please reach out if you or someone you know could benefit from this ministry.

Badges and BBQ
Through our Badges and BBQ outreach, we build bridges with the Springdale Police Department, showing our appreciation for their service and creating opportunities for positive community engagement. This initiative strengthens relationships and fosters a sense of unity between the police and the community they serve.

Scholastic Mission
Our Scholastic Mission is dedicated to supporting the Springdale schools through various outreach programs. We aim to provide resources, mentorship, and encouragement to students and staff, ensuring they have what they need to succeed. Whether it’s through packing or delivering snack packs or mentorship opportunities, there are many ways to get involved.

Get Involved
Volunteers are the heart of our mission and outreach efforts. Whether you have a few hours to give or a specific skill to share, there is a place for you to serve.
