ALL CHURCH

Hanging of the greens | 12/1/24 | 5:00 p.m Meal | 6:00 p.m. service

Kick off the Advent season with a beloved First Church tradition! The evening begins with a meal and fellowship, followed by a special worship service, during which we decorate the sanctuary in preparation for the birth of our Savior. It’s a time of meaningful worship, beautiful music, fun, and great fellowship as we anticipate this sacred season together. We are in need of kids and families to be involved in the service. United Women in faith - Bake sale | 12/8 & 12/15 | during all 3 services

The UWF will sell homemade baked goods in the atrium. The funds raised will support the ministries and missions of Springdale UWF.  

LESSONS AND CAROLS | 12/15 | 11:00 a.m. worship service in the sanctuary

Enjoy a beautiful time of reflection with scripture readings and the singing of traditional Christmas carols, focusing on the coming of Christ.

Children's Christmas Musical | 12/15 | 3:00 p.m.

Experience the children's musical Christmas County Spelling Bee. The kids have worked hard to memorize their lines, and the costumes are ready! It’s a fun, family-friendly performance, and everyone is invited to support the children as they share the joy of the Christmas season.

Christmas Eve Services | 12:00 P.m. | 2:00 p.m. | 4:00 p.m.  | 6:00 p.m.

Celebrate the birth of our Savior at one of our four special Christmas Eve services. Gather with family and friends, and arrive early for complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, and a homemade Christmas cookie. 

12:00 & 2:00 p.m. | These contemporary services will be held in our historic Chapel

4:00 &  6:00 p.m. | These traditional candlelight services will be held in our Sanctuary (Childcare available)


CHILDREN AND YOUTH

NURSERY ADVENT KICK-OFF PARTY | 12/1 | 8:30 - 11:45 a.m.

First Nursery is kicking off Advent with a special Advent Party during all three services on December 1. There will be festive treats, crafts, and fun activities for the little ones!

Children ADVENT KICK-OFF PARTY | 12/1 | 9:45 - 10:45 a.m.

First Children will kick off Advent with an exciting new Christmas Playlist series. As the kids head to their rooms, they will grab a special treat in the hallway to start the season with extra joy!

Youth midweek dinner & lights | 12/4 | 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.

We are continuing our annual Midweek December tradition as we plan to gather together for an evening of food, fun, and Christmas lights! Sign-up HERE.

Youth Trip to Silver Dollar City | 12/7

6th-12th grade students are invited for a fun-filled trip to Silver Dollar City to experience the rides, food, and festive Christmas activities! We will leave from the church at 9 a.m. and return around 9 p.m. that evening. Sign up HERE.

Youth Christmas Progressive Dinner | 12/15 | 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Students will be divided into groups and travel to different homes for each meal course: an appetizer at one house, the main course at another, and then return to the church for dessert, hot chocolate, and a gift exchange. Open to all 6th-12th grade students and adult volunteers. Each participant should bring a $10 wrapped gift for the exchange!

Children's BREAKFAST IN BETHLEHEM | 12/22 | 9:45 - 10:45 a.m.

Children are invited to experience Breakfast in Bethlehem during Sunday School. They will journey through Bethlehem, meeting key figures from the story of Jesus' birth. The event will be split into age groups and end with a special breakfast.


ADULT MINISTRIES

United Women in Faith Christmas members and friends luncheon | 12/3 | 12:00 p.m. | N109 | $5

You're invited to a special event with guest speaker Janet Allured from the University of Arkansas. This is a wonderful opportunity for all women to attend and enjoy an enriching experience. Feel free to bring a friend!

Retiree 2nd Tuesday lunch | 12/10 | 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. | N109 | $5

The retirees will gather for a delightful lunch accompanied by festive Christmas music. Our music director, Brian Breeding, will lead the event, making it unique and fun for everyone.

Our Christmas Eve tradition of serving hot chocolate and cookies on Christmas Eve is one of our favorite ways to create a warm and cozy welcome for all who worship with us! Holiday bakers, ign up now to bring homemade cookies for Christmas Eve.
