Classes
Tuesday - Spring classes will resume on 6 January 2026
Life. It seems to move at a break-neck pace. Days are filled with noise, screens, and appointments. Sometimes worry and fear are constant companions. The chaos can leave you looking for a place to be still, but that resting spot always seems to be an elusive destination. Jesus offers a different kind of life. He offers peace. He is peace. As you turn the pages of John’s Gospel, you’ll be challenged to take on the posture of a learner—understanding that the peace Jesus offers is not an ease of circumstances, but a stillness of the soul. As a result, you’ll grow in intimacy with Him and learn to live, serve, and rest in His peace. The Gospel of John will meet on Tuesdays from 10-12 from 6 January - 10 March. This class will not meet on the third Tuesday of the months.
Wednesday - Spring classes will resume on 21 January 2026
Bible Together is an inclusive Bible study in which our entire church community, including all age groups, is invited to read and reflect on God’s Word. This experience encourages meaningful discussions and shared insights as we explore the Bible together. Let’s come together to grow in faith, learn from one another, and strengthen our bonds as a church family. Bible Together will meet on Wednesdays at 5:00.
Are you a maker? Do you want to craft or learn how to craft? Join us for Create+Connect, a space where artists can work on their projects, learn and craft together, and build relationships. Create+Connect will meet on Wednesdays at 6:30. It will not meet weekly, but will alternate Wednesdays with our Social Justice Forum.
Join Pastor Josh for Exploring the Hebrew Scriptures. Throughout the semester we will do an overview of The Old Testament, seeking to learn more about these texts through the wisdom and witness of our Jewish sisters and brothers. We will also look at how these texts play a vital role forming and informing the teachings of Jesus and the early church. There will be no required book for this class, although supplemental resources will be available throughout for those wishing to dig deeper into specific books or topics. Exploring the Hebrew Scriptures will meet on Wednesdays at 6:30.
Fit Faith continues its work of building relationships based on holistic spirituality. Come, join us for a time of group fitness, prayer, meditation, and other practices to edify your body, your mind, and your soul. Fit Faith will meet on Wednesdays from 6:15 - 7:15 at Self Love Studio Fitness.
This Spring our Social Justice Forum will focus on the topic of climate justice! Our book will be announced soon. Social Justice Forum will meet on Wednesdays at 6:30. It will not meet weekly, but will alternate Wednesdays with Create+Connect.
Understanding Paul will be an exploration into the writing and adventures of the Apostle Paul. He was the most prolific writer of the New Testament. He launched and wrote letters to many of the early churches to help guide and grow them. Yet, Paul's words and ideas are the subject of passionate debates. How did his experience with the life transforming power of Jesus impact his education and training as a Pharisee? How did his new understanding of Christ affect his perspective in the early Roman Empire? How are his writings often misunderstood and how can we approach his controversial passages? Join Pastor Daniel for this study of Paul and the New Testament.
Thursday - Spring classes begin on 22 January 2026
Continuing our discussion from the Fall of Labberton's The Dangerous Act of Worship: Living God's Call to Justice, our Spring session of Lunch & Learn will focus on the topic of prayer and worship. During the Spring, we will read Marjorie J. Thompson's Soul Feast: An Invitation to the Christian Spiritual Life. Throughout this book, Thompson gives readers "the tools to engage the spiritual life– both for your health and the health of the world" (x). Bring your lunch and come be part of the experience. Lunch and Learn will meet on Thursdays at 12:00.
