Christopher's House

Christopher's House is a housing ministry of First United Methodist Church Springdale. This ministry works with organizations in Northwest Arkansas to support families in various forms of transition and renewal. In the Spring of 2023 the church began a new partnership with Canopy NWA to use Christopher's House in the work of international refugee resettlement.

The mission of Canopy NWA is to create a community where refugees are welcomed and equipped with all they need to build new lives. Since 2016, Canopy has welcomed over 850 refugees to NW Arkansas! Under the parent organization of Global Refuge, and in cooperation with the US State Department, Canopy's staff provide the basic services related to housing, education, healthcare, employment, and cultural orientation. All of this is done with the goal of self-sufficiency within 6 months, and a Long Welcome partnership of 5 years. Canopy NWA is grateful for a strong, supportive relationship within the generous community of NWA. Together we welcome our new neighbors, and celebrate their strength and contribution!
